• MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />Upon completion of the initial inventory of noxious weeds a revised management plan <br />will be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology for their approval. The <br />management plan will be implemented the first appropriate season following plan <br />approval. <br />T'he management plan will evaluate the best control practices for each individual species <br />of weed found on the disturbed azea of the Eastside Mine. Also a best practice for <br />treating all of the weeds with one method will be evaluated. Appropriate Management <br />measures may include cultural, mechanical or physical removal, biological or herbicidal, <br />or any combination. <br />_ The management plan will take into consideration the protection offish, wildlife and <br />ielafed environmerifal`valnes;'Rlso the'management plan-will-specify which species.will _ _ _ <br />have treatment priority. <br />The Garfield County Extension Service will be contacted to get recommendations as to <br />the best management methods and the best herbicide to use if chemical control is <br />appropriate. <br />An annual weed inventory will be conducted each year after the first weed control is <br />completed. The annual inventory will provide information as to the effectiveness of the <br />approved plan or locate and record any new infestations in the survey azea. <br />If the annual inventory and evaluation of success indicated the management plan is not <br />working or if new control technologies are available a minor revision will be submitted <br />and approved by Mazch 31S' of each year following the annual inventory <br />n <br />LJ <br />Technical Revision 5/23/2006 <br />
