UO NOT use PLATEAU herbicide on nursery,
omhmd, omamenml plantings, new plantings, seedling trees or fiber farms except
as specified on supplemental labeling. I[ is suggesud that PLATEAU hefiicide be
tried on a limiud basis to determine tolerance in your area. PI-ATEAU herbicide
may be used at rates up to 12 oz per acre for weed controi~in and around
established trees on pasmm, rangeland (see ' `GUIDELINES FOR RANGELAND
USE" sec[idn) and noncropland areas such as roadsides, prairies and similar areas
used far wildlife cover, erosion control, wind breaks, etc. Tree end brash species
known m have acceptable mlemnce to PLATEAU herbicide when applied under
the canopy and/or b the foliage are listed below. Tolerance is based upon trees
with a minimum of 2 inch DBH. Application to tree and brash species that are
under stress due to drought. disease, insect damage or other factors may be more
susceptible m injury from PLATEAU herbicide and may result in severe injury
or death. Some species may exhibit tip chlorosis and minor necrosis. FoGar
contact may increase injury to include defoliation and terminal death. Application
methods that minimize foliar contact with desirable tree and bnuh species can
improve tolerance.
When making fall applications of PLATEAU herbicide, potential injury to tree
and brash species from foliar contact may be minimized by making the applirarion
afar the leaves have begun ro senesce (fall color) or after Leaf drop. Conifer species
are generally mlemn[ to fall applications. PIATEAU herbicide applications in
and around tree aced brash species should be made. at the recommended timing
for the target weed species.
Brush anti Tree Species Tolerance to PLATEAU herbicide at 12 oz per Acre'
Tolennee by
Neadon Methodr

Commou Nome
Apple (var, Winesap)i
Gaous Species
Astalur rylverrrir Directed
!;Clow Foliage
Yes
To Foliage
NR
Ash, Hhrc Fmrinw 9uadrangulaM Yes NR
Arh, Grin Fmrrnur pennryl„anico Yes No
I Rhododendronapp. No Na
S ~ Tilra hetrophy!!a No No
xeldm Acer negundo Ya Injuc}a
-Buckrye, Ohio Aescvlur glabm Yes NR
Cedar-juniper, Watem Thtrja Plicam Yu Yes - i
Cherry, Hlackr Pnrnvs serotina No No
CIKrty, Choke.
