RESISTANCE
Whin herbicides that affect the same biological site of action are rued repeakdty
over several years to control the same weed species in the same field, nammlly-
occurring resistant biotypes may survive a correctly applied herbicide reament,
propagak, end become dominant in that field. Adequate control of drese resistant
weed biotypes cannot be expected. ]f weed control is unsatisfactory, it may be
necessary to retreat the problem azea using a pmAuct affecting a different site of
coon.
o better manage herbicide resistance through delaying the proliferation and
ossbte dominance of herbicide resistant weed biotypes, it may be necessary
change cuimrel practices within and between crop seasons such as using a
combination of tillage, retreaWent, mnk•mix partners and/or sequrntlalh~rbicide
applications [hat have a different sik of action. Weed escappes that are allowed
