Wyoming Fuel Company, Jackson County, Colorado: <br />(Federal coal lease No. C-27931). <br />By this memorandum, I am approving the proposed mining and reclamation plan to <br />reopen and extend the Canadian Strip Mine. This approval is contigent upon <br />the applicant's acceptance, in writing, of the attached stipulations. <br />Approval of this mine plan has been recommended with stipulations by the <br />Director, Office of Surface Mining (0 S1); the Regional Director, Region V, <br />Office of Surface Mining; the U. S. Geological Survey; and the Bureau of Land_ <br />Management. The State of Colorado aproved this plan on July 24, 1980. <br />In addition, an environmental assessment (EA) has been prepared by OSM on this <br />mine plan. We have determined that the alternatives for agency action and the <br />environment of the mine operation have been adequately identified and <br />thoroughly analyzed in the EA prepared by OSM. <br />Attachments (Standard and Special Stipulations) <br />CxJ~ Joseph W.
