One new dewatering we0 was operational in North
Browning (B) pit during 1991.
2.5 1991 Aydrological Date
Hydro-Engineering Inc.'s collation of the 1991 hydrological data for Trapper Mine is submitted as Section
2.5, addressing:
a. Groundwater
(1) Static water level graphs
(2) Salinity graphs
(3) Piezometric surface maps for the
major aquifers
(4) Water quality
b. This index is to be used as the reference and also a "bookmark"
as the section is reviewed.
2.6 Trends
Reter to Hydro-Engineering's Section 2.11 (page 2-2), Sections 6.1 Groundwater (page 6-1) and Section 6.2
Surface Water (page 6-4). Generally both static piezometric ground water levels and surface flows are
reduced because of drier climatic conditions. Trapper has had little if any effect on the local hydrologic
regime.
2.7 Spoil Spring Sampling (1991)
Trapper conducted the annual spoil spring inventory, required by Section 4.8.5.2a, across our mined land
areas. The survey located no new or existing spoil springs that meet the 5 gpm sampling criteria for the third
consecutive year. Only one spoil spring (Cottonwood) in Coyote drainage has exceeded that criteria (1988)
but lower-than-normal precipitation totals since has reduced the flow to <1 gpm.
2.8 Monitoring Well Abandonment
Wells GA-3, GAS and GA-5 werc abandoned in 1991, as approved in TR-08 (8/14/90), in accordance with
Colorado regulation 4.07.3 (2,3) and the abandonment procedures previousty approved (TR-32).
