On July 23, 2002, the Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) sent a letter requesting
supplemental information to the 112 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit submitted
for the Stroh Pit (M-2002-078). The following items have been addressed:
EXHIBIT N -Source of Legal Right to Enter (Rule 6.4.14);
o The property deed has been enclosed.
EXEIIBIT S -Permanent Man-Made Structures (Rule 6.4.19):
o With regazd to the Kaneb Pipeline, a notarized agreement between the Kaneb
Pipeline Company and Coulson Excavating Company, Inc. (Coulson) has
been included.
o With regard to the old house -this struchxre occurs on Coulson's property
and is owned by Coulson.
o With regard to the Hillsboro ditch located 125 ft from the permit boundary, a
slope stabihty analysis was performed using the GEOSYSTEM Slope
Stability Analysis program SB-SLOPE. The slope stability analysis gave a
Factor of Safety greater than 1 for setbacks greater than 50 ft. Exhibit S has
been modified to include the slope stability analysis and is included.
Additionally, an error was found in Exhibit C where the scale was incorrect. Five copies of
the corrected Exhibit C have been enclosed.
