Stul:cr'fruck Luadout Patl
A concrete pad is planned for [he area under the stoker truck loadout area. This concrete pad will be CO feet by 20
feet and 2 ft thick. The pad will remain in place until [he prep-plant is dismantled. Reclamation of the pad will
consist of breaking the concrete up and disposal on site.
Construction at lien-Plant
The bell from the low quality coal stockpile to the grizzly screen will require a I50 Horsepower drive unit aitd
electrical power. The drive unit is approximately 10' x 20' x 8' and is mounted to a steel frame. Power will be
supplied from the prep-plant One power pole will be set on the south side of the overland belt, off the south east
corner of the prep-plant, one pole will be set off [he south-east side of the refuse hopper, and one pule will be set
beside the transformer, west of the grizzly screen. A 300 KVA transformer with dimensions of 5' x 5' x 5' will be set
on a crushed limestone base west of the grizzly screen. The drive unit will be placed on fill material on the west side
of the grizzly screen. Four 18" diameter concrete guard posts will be placed along the travel lane next to the
transformer to prevent damage [o the transformer. These additions will be removed when [he belt from the low
quality coal stockpile is no longer required.
The aeration tank, which is located between the prep-plant building and the flocculation tank, will have a concrete
slab constructed under i[ to capture any overFlow from [Ite tank and direct i[ into the plant. A 10' x 10' x 4" concrete
slab will be built wlticlt connects [o the Floor slab of the prep-plant. A sheet metal enclosure will be built t0 a height
of 7' above the aeration tank and a door installed to provide access to the Flocculation tank. Tltis addition will remain
in place until the prep-plant is dismantled.
Two concrete pads are planned to be constructed on the north and east sides of the prep-plant. The pad on the north
• side will be 3G' x 10' x 0.5' and the pad on the east side will be 20' x 50' x 0.5'. These pads will remain in place until
the prep-plant is dismantled. Reclamation of these pads will consist of breaking the concrete up and disposal on site.
Lonawall Eauiament Storat=_e Yard Culvert
A 20' long 8"diameter culvert will be placed at the entrance to the longwall equipment storage yard. The installation
of this culvert will prevent excessive rutting of the ditch due to traffic into this area. The location for installation of
this culvert is close to the break in slope of the ditch and very little flow is collected at this point. The culvert will be
removed when the storage area is no longer needed.
Additional Drill Hole at Rock Dust Tanks
Two additional drill holes are required at the rock dust tanks as an emergency measure to by-pass a conduit in the
existing (tole which is blocking the flow of rock dust into the mine. These holes will be drilled approximately 6 to 8
feet from the concrete foundations supporting the west tank.
Two 6'/;'diameter holes will be drilled to a depth of 308' below the surface. One of [he holes will be reamed out to a
13 '/-_" diameter hole to allow space for an 8" casing and grouting. A 2'/." steel pipe casing will be used in the second
hole for conduit for control wiring. The drilling operation will require approximately 500 gallons of water and will
generate up ro 13.3 cubic yards of cuttings for a total of 16.3 cubic yards of material to be collected.
A nwd pit will be used to capture [he cuttings and water. The dimensions of [his mud pi[ will be approximateh~ 10' x
12' x d' fir a capacity of 17.8 cubic yards. Water fur the grouting operation will require a pit with approximate
• dimensions of G' x G x 4' ro be dug. These pits will be constructed in an area which has been previously disturbed
and IocalCd out of traffic areas to the extent possible. To prevent the formation of a soft spot, water will be pumped
MR 97-1~3/Iv1R97-I~i '_.0~-6i Revised 11/0397
