Mr. Lames C. Stevens
October 7, 1996
Page 2
Laboratory results indicate that samples obtained from wells MW1 and MW4 were below
detection limits for pesticides, PCBs, herbicides, semi-volatile organics, and volatile organics.
TDS were within the acceptable range for groundwater. The remaining analyzes, identified in the
Human Health Standards and Secondary Drinking Water Standards tables with The Basic
Standards for Groundwater either were below the method detection limits or below the respective
standards. Analytical results for the Human Health Standards and Secondary Drinking Water
Standards are summarized in Tables 1 and 2 respectively. Copies of the laboratory report and
chain-of-custody form are attached.
Groundwater elevations were measured in the monitor wells on September 5, 1996. The top,
north side of the well casings were used as the reference elevation point to measure depth to
groundwater. Groundwater elevations were calculated using the measured groundwater elevation
data and the surveyed well casing elevations. The groundwater level measurements collected
during the site visit are included in Table 3. A groundwater gradient and flow direction was not
determined because only two monitor wells contained water.
Greystone appreciates the assistance of the Division of Minerals and Geology with this project.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303) 850-0930.
S' cerelny,~
Q.G~-~
ay Faliskie
Senior Project Manager
RF/ss
Enclosures
cc: Mr. Robert Vasquez, Costilla County
~ooz~istlx~asau uonive
