TECHNICAL SECTION
EXHIBIT - D MINING PLAN
Section D.2.3 Site Description

4. STEVE: Do we need verification of County authorization for BMR to
relocate the county road prior to Board consideration, or should we require a
stipulation that states road relocation activities may not commence until the
Division is provided with documentation verifying County approval of road
relocation?
Section D.2.5 Pit Wall Stability
5. To address concerns about the long term stability of the south wall of the
West Pit, the following BMR proposals should be specific conditions of permit
approval, i.e.,
A. Pit wall stability will be maintained through construction of an
engineered rock buttress composed of waste rock materials. Final design
for the south wall buttress will be submitted as a technical revision for
review and approval by the Division within the first two years of mining
along the south wall or when the weak constituents of the wall have been
fully exposed; and,
B. Within the first two years of mining in the south wall anea, Battle
Mountain Resources will evaluate the need for installation of a low
permeability barrier, such as a slurry wall or cutoff trench, through the
alluvium and keyed into the underlying Santa Fe Conglomerate 'to cut-off
seepage through the alluvium if seepage management operations indicate
that there is a potential for large volumes of seepage which may affect
the long term stability of the rock buttress. Final designs for the
barrier must be submitted to the Division as a Technical Re vision,
requiring Division review and approval prior to construction.
Section D.3 Waste rock Disposal
Section D.3.1 General
6.
