EXHIBIT C - paragraph 1
The mill operation is estimated to commence on or about June of
1995 and is estimated that it will cease on June of 2020.
EXHIBIT C - paragraph 2 - Tailings Removal
The removal of the mill tailings from the tailings impoundment will
not damage the liner or integrity of the impoundment structure. A
sand pump will be installed on the current impoundment pond pump
raft. The current pump on this raft is used to recycle pond water
to the mill. The new sand pump will suck up tailings from the
impoundment and pump the tailings to the mill's thickener tank.
From the thickener tank the tailings will be dried in a filter and
shipped to a brick factory. The sand pump suction hose from the
pump to the tailings in the impoundment will terminate in a short
rounded plastic intake pipe which cannot puncture the liner. The
tailings sand pump intake hose will be hand guided by a person
holding the intake pipe. That pump person, wearing rubber wadding
boots, will slowly guide the hose intake over the submerged
tailings to tuck in the tailings. The pump person will be able to
avoid harmful contact of the impoundment liner by the intake pipe.
Once the mill thickener tank is filled with tailings the sand pump
will be turned off until the thickener tank can be emptied enough
to hold more of the tailings.
EXHIBIT C - paragraph 3 & 4 - Source of Mill Material
At this time there is no source of material to be run through the
Gold Hill Mill. If at some time in the future a source of material
to run through Gold Hill Mill is secured, Com, Inc. will provide
proof that the material is allowed by Boulder County Land Use
Department.
Com, Inc. will additionally provide complete characterization of
the tailings material that will be placed in the tailings
impoundment.
