Box 126 <br />Florissant, CO 80816 <br />RE: Inspection of Industrial Wastewater Facility; Sand and <br />Gravel Operation; Teller County <br />Dear Mr. Clare: <br />Enclosed is the report form for the inspection conducted on <br />the above-referenced facility on July 11, 1991. During the <br />inspection, the following deficiency was noted: <br />1. Wastewater from the west pond was overtopping the <br />pond's embankment. This discharge should be prevented <br />as it is a violation of the Colorado Water Quality <br />Control Act which states that, "No person shall <br />discharge any pollutant into any state water from a <br />point source without first having obtained a permit <br />from the Division for such a discharge". <br />This letter is a notice of violation of the Colorado Water <br />Quality Control Act and requires a response in writing, no <br />later than August 5, 1991, outlining your course of action <br />to cease and desist the illegal discharge.
