0 <br />3. Seed mixes for all distinct types of revegetation treatments have been <br />specified 1n the revised plan. <br />4. As above, only native and adapted species are included in the revised <br />reclamation plan. <br />5. As with seed mixtures, the reclamation plan addresses the specifics of <br />seedbed preparation, planting period, mulches and rate of application, <br />fertilization, fencing, maintenance, and follow-up activities, all as <br />appropriate to distinct types of reclamation activities. <br />6. Revegetation success is to be determined in accordance with established <br />reference areas, according to 4.15.7(2)(d)(i), (iii), and (v). <br />7. We are so informed, and In concurrence with this practice. <br />8. The proposed test plot program is currently being reevaluated. As a <br />result of the large amount of information available fY~om revegetation <br />pro~acts Sn the region, there is question as to the necessity of testing <br />species and planting technique success. A possible exception to this <br />involves such testing on extreme erosion Dazard sites within the permit <br />area. <br />9. Revegetation potential of the site is addressed in detail in the revised <br />reclamation plan Sn terms of regional studies and revegetation projects, <br />and will De based on phytoedaphic complexes identified for the region. <br />AIR AND HATER QUALITY LAWS AND REGULATIONS <br />THE APPLICANT HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS THIS SECTION. <br />All federal and state air and water quality laws and regulations will be <br />complied with. The air pollution plan and emission permit applications are <br />presented in Section IV.L. Copies of the air pollution permit applications are <br />presented in Figures IV.L-1, IV.L-2, IY.L-3, and IV.L-4 and the emission sources <br />from the mine are presented in Table IV.L-2. <br />Water quality control consists oP sediment control by use oP sedimentation <br />ponds. NPDES permits will be submitted at a later date. <br />AIR POLLUTION CONTROL PLAN <br />A COPY OF THE EMISSION PERMIT, OA APPLICATION, FOR THIS OPERATION SHOULD BE <br />SUPPLIED. <br />Copies of the emission permit application and the cover letters for the original <br />submission and proposed amendment to the application are presented in Figures <br />IV.L-1 through 5. The emissions from the mine and the pollution control <br />measures used are shown in Table IV.L-2 as previously displayed. <br />1080 25 <br />
