MONITORING REQUIREMENTS <br />""~,P I <br />'Pa~ ld of 19 <br />Permit No. CO-0024562 <br />Sampling by the permittee for compliance with the monitoring <br />requirements specified above shall be performed at the following <br />location(s): Outfall 001, the discharge of mine drainage from the <br />Carlton Tunnel bypassing the settling ponds, or 002, the discharge of <br />mine drainage from the Carlton after flowing through a series of <br />settling ponds and monitored adjacent to and upstream from Teller <br />County Road 88 prior to discharging to Fourmile Creek. <br />2. Monitoring Exemution or Modification <br />Effluent monitoring is required during periods when the operation can <br />be accessed. If the operation is not safely accessible due to weather <br />conditions, then this shall be reported. <br />3. Reoorting of Data <br />Reporting of the data gathered in compliance with Part I.B.1 shall be <br />on a monthly basis. <br />Monitoring results shall be summarized for each month and reported on <br />Division approved discharge monitoring report forms postmarked no later <br />than the 28th day of the following month. Frequencv and Sample Tvoe - Acute WET Testing <br />Quarterly test results shall be reported along with the Discharge <br />Monitoring Report (DMR) submitted for the end of the reporting calendar <br />quarter (i.e., WET testing results for the calendar quarter ending <br />March 31 shall be reported with the DMR due April 28, with the <br />remaining WET testing reports submitted with DMRs due each July 28, <br />October 28 and January 28). The results shall be submitted on the <br />Acute Toxicity Test report form, available from the Division.
