The <br />mine is closed and no disturbance has occurred within the drainage areas reporting to these proposed ponds. <br />Outfalls 005, 006, 007, 009A, and OlOA have been constructed and no discharge occurred from these <br />facilities during the Quarter. <br />Pond 008 and 009B both discharged during the quarter. A discharge water quality summary and laboratory <br />reports for these discharges are enclosed with the DMR's. The discharge on July 20 resulted from a rain <br />event occurring on July 19. A total of 12" was received at the Lorencito mine. The ]0-year 24-hour storm <br />event is 2.9". Lorencito Coal Company is requesting a waiver of TSS and Iron for a storm event of less <br />than the rated 10 n 24-hr evem for these discharges. <br />Please contact me if there are any questions or if additional information is required. <br />Sinoarel~ G <br />Ronald G.
