-22- Revised O C T °• 0 19 81
• as well as frequency determination:; is provided at the end of each computer
print-out. Production data are presented for species and life form for each
exclosure in grassland and upland sagebrush affected and cnntrol areas in
Appendix B, Part 2. Oven dry weights are presented for all species.
[4et weights and percent moisture rontent are presented for all species
except shrubs and trees. A suamary of data over all transects is provided
at the end of each print-out.
Basal Dover data are summarized for all affected and wntrol areas by
vegetation types in Table S. Total vegetation basal Dover was similar
for all areas sampled ranging from 9.7~ on the grassland-affected to 14.9$
on the grassland-control. The percent of ground cover attributed to
litter-rock was much higher on the grassland-affected area (71.2$) than
the other areas. Conversely, percent bare ground was lowest on this site
(5.08) and highest in upland sagebrush vegetation on the affected site
(41.68).
• Stumary dry weight production data are presented in Table 6 for grass-
land and upland sagebrush vegetation sampled at affected and wntrol
areas. As crith total vegetation aver, productivity was similar at
all sites with only a 26$ difference between the type showing the lowest
production, grassland control (682.6 lbs/acre), and the mist productive
type, upland sagebrush affected (917.3 lbs/acre). II~tire area production
was 835.6 lbs/acre for the affected areas and 768.1 lbs/acre for control
sites.
