The mountain shrub data indicate <br />an unfavorable year. However, only herbaceous production was sampled for in the <br />mountain shrub community during 1979. <br />As previously mentioned, the range site descriptions and dry matter yields, as <br />described by the Soil Conservation Service, are based on broad soil characteris- <br />tics. Premining sampling at Trapper Mine will continue over the next 3 to 5 <br />years to determine site specific growth patterns within the proposed permit <br />area. <br />2-178 <br />
