Collins at the request of Wyoming Fuel
Company. These studies have previously been reported to you,
either orally or in writing.
The first two (2) studies tested acute toxicity from outfall
002B to Ceriodaphnia and Fathead Minnow. The sampling date was
i May 17, 1988. There was 45~ mortality at 100% effluent
concentration for Ceriodaphnia. There was a 5~ mortality at 100
effluent concentration for Fathead Minnows.
Wyoming Fuel Company had the Purgatoire River tested at~
station PRS-3 downstream from the mine water discharge on May 24,
1988. The results showed no acute toxicity to either
Ceriodaphnia or Fathead Minnows.
j The last study evaluated mine water entering the Pond 002
1 system on June 9, 1988. The test organism was Ceriodaphnia. The
mine water was found not to be toxic.
If you have any questions, please call.
Very truly yours,
David M.
