• To further examine the similarity of vegetation of the Permit and Expansion Areas, the Motyka Index of
Similarity (Moryka et al. 1950) was applied to the 1990 cover data. This formula is expressed as:

b =sum of the values for area B
Similarity indices were calculated using cover data by lifeform and total vegetation cover.
Results of calculation of the Motyka Index were as follows:
