Yellox Clover and Ladak Alfalfa should also be used.
The establishment of brusfi thickets xould provide both food and cover for xildlife and
is highly recommended. Species to plant in order of preference are Plum, Buffaloberry,
Chokecherry, Wild Rose, d Sandhill Cherry. To benefit Raptors & other bird species I
recommend the planting of trees like Russian Olive & Cottonless Cottonxood. A mainten-
ance free system of planting the shrubs is described by Warren Synder in April-I•'ay 1983
issue of Colorado Outdoors, a Colorado Division of 'r'ildlife publication.. Sealing part
or all of the 7~it xould help hold water during Net years or after heavy thunderstorms.
Although not a: e.fective ere thicF;ets, b<cch piles can be constructed to provided cover
for rildlife.
Prepared By:~~~t',2? ~~ _~!'.~` ~~n~~ Date'_TG/~S/~~ - -
Submitted By:~ ~ _ Date ` ~_ 1L~
n ... ~.arn.ronr is voi if no processe w{thin 1 y~ar.
