These as-
proposed plans and calculations were submitted to the
CMLR on August 1, 1984 prior to actual construction. The
as-built plans and calculations for both sediment ponds
were submitted on November 29, 1984. There is some modi-
fication due to construction conditions which had to be
met in order for the drainage, sedimentation, and stabi-
lization plan to work more efficiently.
Pond #1 has increased very slightly from .3370 acre-feet
to .34 acre-feet in total sediment plus runoff storage
calculation. Pond #2 shows an increase from .3527 acre-
feet to .60 acre-feet which will give a total of 13.06
years of sediment storage. ~4e feel this increase will
give this area an added safety factor and retention time
to meet our N.P.D.E.S. discharge requirements that will
be forthcoming.
The Pond #1 location was moved to the east of the as-
proposed drawings in order to accommodate the grade from
the fill slope in this area. Other minor changes that have
occured in the embankment slopes were considered minor and
are found in the as-built drawings already submitted to
your department. We feel the as-built plan is now more
