I am a certified professional engineer
in the State of Colorado with experience in the Eastern and
Western United States in the design, construction and operation
of sediment ponds and mine hydrology systems.
Site inspections were conducted on December 7 and 22, 1992.
Inspections and measurements were conducted by myself and Mark
Kerr. A precision eye level, stadia rod and measuring tape were
used to verify elevations, slopes and dimensions. Additional work
was done in Late January and early February to lessen the slopes
of the pond embankment. Fill was obtained from the western side
of the pond and a keyway was used to tie the old fill to the new
fill in the embankment. Pictures are enclosed to depict the final
embankment slopes. Since all fill used was simply moved from one
side of the pond to the other, there was no change in pond
storage volume.
Sincerely yours,
Greg Lewicki
Greg Lewicki and Associates
