Box 140 <br />Durango, CO 81302 <br />Re: Compliance Inspection Requirements for the Oakridge Energy Cazbon Junction Mine <br />(CDPS No. COG-850042) <br />Dear Greg: <br />This correspondence will provide a response to the violation items noted in your June 30, <br />2004 inspection report for the Carbon Junction Mine. <br />Item 1: A copy of the 2003 Stormwater Annual Report was forwazded to you and the <br />CDPHE Denver office in early July 2004. <br />Item 2: Pazshall flumes for the outfalls 001 A and 002A of the sediment ponds are being <br />constructed to U.S. Bureau of Reclamation standards (USBR Water Measurement <br />Manual) and will be installed by the end of the third calendaz quarter this yeaz (end of <br />September 2004). <br />If you have any additional questions or require further clarification please call me at your <br />convenience. <br />Sincerely, <br />/'~ <br />Michael S.
