Prowers County <br />Regular 112 Operations Permit Application <br />Davis Pit <br />EXHIBIT G -WATER INFORMATION <br />This operation will be a dry pit operation and will not affect the ground water system. The <br />proposed operation will not expose ground water to the surface. <br />2.(a) No tributary water courses, springs, stockwater ponds, reservoirs will be affected. <br />(b) The Arkansas River Basin in the aquifer, hawever, it will not be affected. <br />(c) There will be no dewatering and in the past we have been told that any runoff returned <br />to the pit from either rain or from stockpiled material usually will not create a <br />pollution problem. There will be no discharge from the operation and-only material <br />removed from the pit will be put back. Any rain or snow will percolate into the <br />system. <br />3. No water will be required for this dry pit operation or in reclamation. <br />4. This dry pit operation will have no water requirements. <br />5. Prowers County will apply for a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br />(NPDES) permit from the Water Quality Control Division at the Colorado Department of <br />Health if applicable. <br />
