Construction Materials <br />Regular 112 Operations Reclamation Permit <br />Davis Pit <br />MINING PLAN <br />(a) Method of Mining <br />Mining will begin in the area of the old gravel pit area. The topsoil will be removed with <br />scrapers/dozers and stored in the Southeast area of the pit. Mining of the aggregate deposit <br />will be done by front-end loaders. Material will be processed and removed from the site by <br />haul trucks. <br />(b) Earthmoving <br />Earthmoving is proposed to be done primarily with front-end loaders and/or scrapers and <br />dozers. <br />(c) Water diversions and impoundments. <br />This site will be strictly a dry pit operation with no water diversions and/or impoundments. <br />There are is a stream bed located in the vicinity of the gravel site, however, there will be a <br />100' setback from the area. <br />(d) Size of area to be worked at one time. <br />The size area to be worked at one time is approximately 10 to 15 acres. <br />(e) Approximate timetable to describe the mining operation. <br />Mining will commence as soon as the permit has been approved and the proposed date of <br />completion is approximately Apri129, 2007 or when material has been depleted. <br />(f) Nature, depth, and thickness of deposit and thickness and type of overburden. <br />The sand and gravel deposit is believed to be only between 6' to 8' thick in the pit area. In <br />some places the deposit is exposed on the surface or covered at most by an extremely thin <br />layer of topsoil in those areas of the mine site that have not been disturbed. There is little or <br />no overburden in the area. <br />(g) Primary and secondary commodities to be extracted and intended use. <br />The primary commodity to be extracted is sand and gravel for road repairs and <br />maintenance. <br />(h) Name and description of all expected incidental products to be extracted. <br />No incidental products are to be mined and extracted by this operation. <br />
