Reclamation and Future Use
• Historic use of the Loma rail loadout was storage and rail loading of sugar beets. Upon
abandonment, GVC will return the site to a condition satisfying Articie 21 of the Lease Agreement
s
between the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad Company and Grand Valley Coal Compan
dated June 1, 1978, a copy of which is included herein as Exhibit C-VIII of Appendix C.
All coal -like material and facilities including the four loading ramps will be removed from the
area and disposed of in an approved manner. Coal -like material will be removed to the Munger
Canyon Mine and deposited next to the coal outcrop prior to covering with dirt and contouring, see
Section 3.9. The exposed dirt base will be regraded to a smooth and level condition equal to
contours now exhibited at the site. The loadout will be vegetated with the temporary revegetation
mix to minimize erosion and sedimentation to the specifications in Table 3.9-1 task 20.
n
LJ
•
M~ Page 2.2 - 15 10-13-00
