(Include here a summary of any measures <br />taken to comply with your Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), to fully implement it, changes or improvements <br />made in any of your Best Management Practices (BMP's), problems encountered, spills, other potential violations, etc.) <br />To the best of my knowledge, for the period January 1.2006 through December 31.2006. BTU Empire Corporation <br />was in substantial compliance with the terms and conditions of all permits and regulations necessary to conform with <br />Stormwater Manacement Plan (SWMP) developed for this facility. <br />The Best Management Practices (BMP'sl, inspections, maintenance activities and training requirements specified in the <br />SW MP for Empire were adhered to throughout the vear. No chances occurred in anv BMP's. <br />Were changes made to your SWMP? ~No ~X Addition of Mr. Larry Hull, Group Executive <br />Colorado Operations <br />A summary of each comprehensive Stormwater facility inspection made, including date, findings, and action taken. <br />(The permit requires at least two comprehensive facility inspections per year -see page 10 of the permit. <br />Include here a summary of those inspections, plus any other comprehensive inspections made. It is not <br />necessary to summarize day-to-day inspections, unless significant problems were noted.) <br />First Inspection -Date: 6/22/06 Findings and action taken: <br />A comprehensive inspection of drainage control structures, diversion structures, vegetated slopes. berms <br />vegetative tillers rock filters and storage areas for raw materials chemical products, fuels, hazardous substances. <br />and waste products was completed. Vegetated ares were greening up and appear to be in good <br />condition with no follow up action required. Storage areas were found in good order. The mine is in temporary <br />cessation. resulting in little activity at the mine. Weed spraying was recommened throughout the site. <br />Rodent control was recommended in some areas (upper plateau areal. <br />Second Inspection -Date 9/16/06 Findings and action taken: <br />A comprehensive inspection of drainage control structures, diversion structures, vegetated slopes. berms. <br />vegetative filters. rock filters, and storage areas for raw materials, chemical products. fuels. hazardous substances. <br />and waste products. Some minor snow on ground. Visible vegetated areas were observed to be in good condition. <br />with no follow up action required.
