This
could take a couple of years to achieve.
The ponds themselves will, of course,
during the detoxification process be detoxil.fied and
the solutions will be removed by the evaporation
process and the liners will be folded in or1
themselves after sludge has been removed ar~d the heap
grading will actually cover the pond areas.
The borrow area will be graded and
seeded shortly after the commencement of operations
as material is removed and used in the construction.
The roads on the area will be graded
to establish perpendicular drainage. In other words,
drainage will not be flowing down the road, rather
crossways, to minimize erosion in those areas. They
will be topsoiled and seeded as well as the other
facilities.
There are a number of previously
disturbed areas within the permit area such as the
prelaw heap area and the test heap area that you saw
out on the plains this morning.
