The well penetrated approximately 78 ft. of unconsolidated overburden
and 1~ ft, of bedrock, The upper 15 ft. consisted of dry relatively
small vrain alluvium. At the 15 ft. level vet blue-gray cuttinGS were
discharged from the hole. These blue-gray cuttings continued to he discharged
to the 50 ft. level. Fiore water w3a encountered at the 20 ft, level, this
seemed to be the level of the water table. At the 25 ft, level well rounded
rocks were encountered, These rocks were small enough such that some
were discharged out of the hole and some slumped into and bridged the hole.
No record was kept of the verticsl extent of these rocks. At the SO ft,
level boulders were encountered. These boulders required drilling with mud.
When drilling with mud the cuttings are continually recirculated; consequently,
the only indication of the. type of ground is the ease of drilling. Below
50 ft. the firound alternhted between hard and soft. The driller felt
bedrock was at approximately 73 ft. because no more soft gape were encountered.
Drilling was halted at the 95 ft. level.
T~~e water well ie 95 ft, deep, penetrating approximately 78 ft. of
unconsolidated overburden and 1~ ft. of bedrock. The upper 19~ ft, of
the hole is 9 7/8" O.D. and the remainder is 6 3/4" O.D: The upper 19~ ft.
of the hole is cased with .an 8"X20'" steel pipe. From the 94 ft, level
the well is cased with 80 ft. of perforated and 13 ft, of unperforated
4~" PVC well using. The well is packed with minus 3/8" gravel from the
bottom to 18~' below the top of the steel casing.
Listed below are the services and materials for which Kisener Drilling
intends to charge U.S.S. Mining Company:
95 ft, of drilling
21 ft, of 8" steel pipe
100 ft, of 4~" well teeing
gavel pack
2 hrs. of mobilization time
1 hrs. of well development
an unknown amount of demobilisation time
