These data are based on surveys completed on September
27 and 28, 1990.
The surveys represent the status of the ponds on the survey date. Obviously, because the ponds
(except 002) have been in use for several years, there arc varying amounts of sediment accumulated in them.
Based on our understanding of the approved plans, the required 10-year, 24-hour event capacities vs. the actual
capacities to the principal spillway inverts are summarized below:
As-Built to Princ
Spillway Invcrt
Pond P,~ acre-ft acre-ft
002 2.3 2.6
003 0.7 1.2
004 0.6 2.7
005 0.4 1.7
After reclamation of the mine is completed this fall, Kaiser intends to complete a new survey and
mapping of the site. At this time, the surface water drainage plan will be updated to confirm the desired
capacities and other design requirements of these ponds.
Should you have questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to call.
Very [ y yours,
K.
