Syracuse Way, Suite 217 <br />Denver, CO 80231 i <br />Re: Running Creek Ranch Company - FREUND PIT - Elbert County <br />File No. M-85-003 <br />Dear Mr. Rindahl: <br />The application for a Mined Land Reclamation Permit for the "Freu'd Pit" has <br />been received and was deemed complete (filed) January 18, 1985. here are <br />some issues that need clarification before the application is con idered <br />adequate. I would appreciate a response at your earliest conveni nce, <br />preferably some time before February 15th. This will allow suffi ient time <br />for review prior to the February 27 - 28, 1985 Board Meeting. <br />As you are aware, before the Board can consider this permit appli ation, our <br />staff must receive, review, and approve the proof of the two sequ ntial weeks <br />of publications (publisher's affidavit or a copy thereof) and the proofs of <br />notifications to adjacent landowners (certified mail white or gre n <br />receipts). Please send these to us as soon as they are available. <br />Clarifications are needed concerning the following issues: ~ <br />Exhibit D - Wildlife, Water Resources, Vegetation, Soils Information <br />1. Water Resources: <br />Pertinent information (Exhibits B, C, D, and E) was sent to the <br />Division of Water Resources such that they can assess the impacts of <br />the proposed operation on ground and surface water resourc s. Any <br />comments that they may have will be forwarded to you as son as our <br />staff receives them. <br />2. Vegetation Information: ~~ <br />Please indicate the species of and average percentage of ground covered <br />(aerial perpendicular projection) by the "brome grass" pre ent. Other <br />species present should also be identified and quantified ( ground <br />cover).
