(c) A map prepared to the standards of 2.10 shall accomoany the plan. <br />• RESPONSE <br />Since the Middle Creek Underground Mine used the final cut of [he former Energy Mine No. 3 surface <br />mining operation as the portal and staging area, the problems of posunining land use for the underground <br />mine are identical to those of the surface mine. Postmining land uses for both operations were described <br />previously and are depicted on Map 9, Energy Mine No. 3 Land Use. <br />(d) For those disturbed areas within the permit area where Iona-term structures or facilities <br />exist or are to be constructed, the applicant may propose specific alternative land uses which may- be approved <br />towards [he end of the life of the mine through the permit revision procedures required by 2.08. In such cases, [he <br />application shall contain a clear demonstration, along with supporting information, that the uremining land use <br />capabilih~ will be achieved. <br />RESPONSE <br />No alternative land uses are proposed in this permit application. The office/shop building and parking lot <br />will be retained to augment the pastureland postmining land use.
