Dan Mathews
May 15, 1991
Page 4
of annual precipitation data covering the 1990 Water
Year is attached.
D. Downstream Embankment Slope
Vegetation appears somewhat thicker on this slope than
on the upstream slope. Erosion does not appear to be a
problem due to the relatively short slope and limited
area exposed to runoff. The only significant runoff
from the haul road ditches would occur through a
controlled downdrain at the north abutment of the
embankment. No cracking, bulging, or other signs of
stress were noted.
III. Conclusion
There appears to have been no noticeable change in the
embankment structure since the last annual inspection
of May 23, 1990. Vegetation is growing on the side
slopes. The embankment is stable and the underlying
rock fill is functioning as expected.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this report,
please contact me by telephone (602) 774-5253 or by writing
me at this office.
Res
bd
c: Fred Fest
Chuck McCulloh
.~ -
Roia~i~ J. ~gke ~*~
Se~igr, Engineer ; ~~
Col ~~t4p Reg.
