• The lands applied for have been included in, and are consistent with, <br />the tdorth Park Pfanagement Framework•Plan (PiFP) update completed in 1977, <br />which is on file in the Kremmling Resource Area Office, Bureau of Land <br />]Management, Kremmling, Colorado. The lands are also included in the <br />;McCallum Known Recoverable Coal Pesource Area (KRCR4) and in the South <br />McCallum KGS. The land surface and the minerals are in federal ownership <br />under the administration of the Bureau of Land Pfanagement. <br />Section II - Alternatives <br />A. Lease the 500 acres of strippable coal reserves within the tract <br />adjacent to k'yoming Fuels' Sigma Tfine, in accordance with 43 CFR 3400, <br />for eventual surface mining using the strip method. <br />The tract lies 12 miles east of the town of k'alden, Colorado, <br />• in Jackson County(see Maps.. 162). The legal description is: <br />T. 8 N., R. 78 W., 6th P.M. <br />Sec. 3: SSd~, NW'-y, SWti; <br />Sec. 10: k`-ENE%,NE'y, NW'-yNF}~, NW's, S~NF3y. <br />The land surface and all minerals are federally owned under the <br />administration of the Bureau of Land Management. The tract lies. <br />within the McCallum KRCRA and South McCallum KGS. These lands contain=:== <br />approximately 965,111 tons of surface recoverable coal to a depth of - <br />200 feet. The coal is in the Sudduth Coal Seam, which dips 32 to 36 <br />degrees to the south. <br />• <br /> <br />5 <br />
