Surface and subsurface ownership at the Edna Mine is shown on Exhibit <br />3.7-1. The owner's name, number of acres, type of document of conveyance <br />and Gulf file number (i.e., 3-23503-00) assigned to each document is given <br />for the lands within the lease area. <br />In Appendix 3.7-A, the documents of conveyance have been arranged in <br />numerical order, based on the Chevron (Gulf) file numbers shown on Exhibit <br />3.7-1. The name and address for surface and subsurface owners is given <br />unless the document of conveyance is by deed. In such cases, Chevron is <br />the present owner. The address for Chevron is stated in Section 3.7.2. <br />The document descriptions in Appendix 3.7-A also contain the type of <br />document, date of execution, specific lands address and any cross file <br />references (surface - subsurface owners) pertaining to the same land. <br />In all of the legal documents described, a clause pertaining to the <br />right to mine and extract coal by surface mining methods is included. <br />Appendix 3.7-B shows two examples of the right to mine clause and how they <br />may vary from document to document. <br />C~ <br />Ir~ <br />u <br />TR-33 3.7-12 October 26, 1995 <br />
