Yale <br />Flagstaff, AZ 86001 <br />Dear Mr. Wainwright: <br />,. <br />~: <br />r , ~ ~ ~, <br />3^a <br />EsbblisMO 1951 <br />ENGINEERING GEOLOGY <br />AND PMOTOGEOLOGY <br />This letter transmits our report, "Engineering Geologic Ground Stability <br />Investigations, 005 Gulch and Vicinity, Seneca II-W Mine Area, Routt County, <br />Colorado." <br />The report and accompanying maps describe our findings with respect to <br />ground stability in the 005 Gulch and vicinity which are part of Peabody Coal <br />Company's Seneca II-W mine complex. <br />The proposed Sedimentation Pond is in a geologically sound site, although <br />it is not as close to the mine as was preferred. <br />The proposed Haul Road G alignment of necessity traverses some undesirable <br />ground; however, the options for realignment do not appear to overrule the <br />present alignment.
