Harvard Avenue
Denver, Colorado 80231
Dear Mr. Lunen:
After our discussion of April 2nd, I looked over my available
information covering xildlife species occurance along the proposed road corridor
for the Seneca II Mine. I am unable to find any records of critical habitats for
federal or state threatened and endangered xildlife species. I also looked for
records on grouse lek occurrence or the existence of critical habitat for other

species. Again, I xas unable tc find any conflicts due to habitat loss from the
proposed haul road. Njy only concern is the possibility of excessive deer or elk
mortality from big game-vehicle accidents on the road. The Division of Wildlife
xould like to see your company make a commitment to address this issue should it
arise.
Feel free to contact me I can be of any further assistance in
considering xildlife at future stages of mine development.
Sincerely yours,
`~ /~
James M.
