The species listed in Seed Mix No. 1 have been selected for normally consistent
availability. Howeve [, adverse envi [onmental conditions and excessive market demand may
occasionally limit supplies. For species that have several developed cultivars,
alternative cultivars will be evaluated for suhs titutions. When cultivars are
unavailable, regional na[Ive sources will be used. Comp le[e lack of ava ilabiliiy will
normally be limited to the native fo rbs and shrubs listed. Substitutions in this case
will be determined by reviewing the species list in Tab 10 and selecting adapted and
desireable native species replacements offered by seed dealers. SCC will notify the
Division with what seed mixes SCC will be able to receive from the vendor for that year.
If these mixes do not match [he approved seedmix, a minor revision will be submitted
immediately to the Division for approval, prior to placing the order. Any substitutions
will be nosed in the Annual Reclamation Report.
IS kevised 02/19/99
