RESPONSE: ~ i <br />The C07 pond outfall will be monitored with a flume and a continuous <br />recorder as is similarly done at NPGES outfalTs 002, 003, and 004 at the <br />Seneca II P1ine. Installation of the monitoring equipment will begin <br />within 30 days of completion of the 007 pond or as soon thereafter as <br />weather and ground conditions permit. The text on Page 7-161 and Table <br />7-46 on Page 7-162 of Section VII A.2 have been revised to include this <br />additional monitoring information. <br />Below the proposed 007 pond, a crest stage gauge will be established <br />this fall at monitoring site SW-52-9. The channel cross section, slope <br />and rating curve for this site will be submitted with the 1986 AHR. The <br />text on Page 7-161 and Table 7-46 on Page 7-163 of Section VII A.2 have <br />been revised to reflect this additional monitoring information. <br />COhiMEPiT: <br />6. Page 7-169 should be revised to indicate that the r"our new surface <br />water monitoring sites will be monitored on the same day of the • <br />month that NPDES Sites 004 and U07 are monitored for total <br />dissolved solids. <br />PESPONSE: <br />Page 7-169 has been revised to indicate that the four new surface water <br />monitoring sites will be monitored on the same day of the month that <br />NPDES Sites 004 and 007 are monitored for total dissolved solids. <br />CGMMENT: <br />7. The Division requests that Peabody respond to those concerns raised <br />in the Duly 28, 1986 correspondence regarding the Annual Hydrology <br />Repcrt, which remain unresolved. This response should be submitted <br />v+ith the information requested in this ndequacy Review. <br />RESPONSE: <br />A letter was forwarded to CI4LRD on August 28, 1986 stating where the <br />responses to the Annual Hydrology Report (AHR) concerns could be found <br />in the permit responses. Specifically, responses to AHR concern 1 can _ <br />be found in Tab 7, Section VII B.2.a. and responses to AHR concern 2 can <br />be r"ound in Tab 7, Section VII A.2. <br />1R <br />
