SHELTON, Director
Richard O. Lemm
Governor
September 12, 1984
Mr. William C. Thrailkill
City Land Surveyor
City of Lamar
P. 0. Box 270
Lamar, Colorado 81052
Re: Well Field Pit - File no. M-84-154
Dear Mr. Thrailkill:
Today, I received your response to my adequacy letter (accompanied by the
proof of publication and proof of notification to the one adjacent land-
owner). With the exception of the review letter from the Division of
Wildlife, the application can now be considered adequate. If I do not
receive the review letter before the scheduled September 26-27, 1984
meeting, I will plan to stipulate the permit to require that the review
be submitted within some specified period of time after permit issuance
(e.g., 60 days) and that the operator (the City of Lamar) commit to
the mitigative measures that the Division of Wildlife may suggest. Please
let me know if you have any problem with such a stipulation.
Enclosed please find a copy of the warranty forms needed for the financial
warranty to be submitted using a bank letter of credit. The first is the
actual letter of credit form itself. The bank will need to fill this out.
The second is the Financial Warranty - Letter of Credit form that is to be
submitted by the City of Lamar in combination with the letter of credit.
The permit will be able to be issued after the Board has approved the
application and a complete warranty package has been submitted to the
Division and approved by our staff.
As I mentioned, this application will be considered as a "no problem"
matter, Thus, you will not need to be present at the meeting. I will plan
to recommend approval of the application with the amount of the financial
warranty to be set at $5,000.00.
Please call me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
L~2' ~ - O
Mark S.
