3.0 RESULTS
The results of this analysis are summarized in Table 3.1. The RUSLE method was applied to the
reclaimed Lone Pine SAES and adjacent undisturbed area. RUSLE inputs were determined by various
methods as described in the previous sections. All 4 Lone Pine SAES generated less sediment during the
10-year, 24-hour storm event than the adjacent undisturbed areas.
TABLE 3-1 -RUSLE ANALYSIS -RECLAIMED SAES VS ADJACENT
UNDISTURBED AREAS
Soil loss
Lone Pine SAE: R K Ls c P (tonstactyr)
Portal 10 X 0.27 X 2.31 X 0.150 X 1.00 = 0.94
Undisturbed oakbrush 10 X 0.25 X 13.99 X 0.280 X 1.00 = 9.79
Topsoil borrow area 10 X 0.27 X 2.33 X 0.150 X 1.00 = 0.94
Undisturbed oakbrush 10 X 0.25 X 24.91 X 0.280 X 1.00 = 17.44
Development waste pile 10 X 0.27 X 8.44 X 0.150 X 1,00 = 3.42
Undisturbed oakbrush 10 X 0.25 X 14.93 X 0.280 X 1.00 = 10.45
Substation area 10 X 0.27 X 4.77 X 0.150 X 1.00 = 1.93
Undisturbed Mountain Shrub 10 X 0.25 X 8.59 X 0.130 X 1,00 = 2.79
210-RUSLE Rpt_(10.18.05).doc 3-t
