I, <br />~~ COMMERCIAL TESTING 1~ ENGINEERING CO. <br />ABSTRACT <br />Commercial Testing and Engineering, Co. (CT&E) conducted five; one species acute,bioassays <br />on effluent from Twentymiie CoalaCompany's Fish Creek Bore Hole, also known as discharge <br />site 1'15. The purpose of this bioassay was,to determine if .the facility complies with the <br />automatic compliance portion of the Colorado State Permit System Authorization fo Discharge: <br />The test organism utilized was the cladoceran (Daphnia magna). Test results indicate that the <br />effluent was not acutely tonic to Daphnia magna survival in five accelerated tests. A <br />"pattern of no toxicit}~' has been established. Therefore, site 115 is in compliance with the acute <br />WET portion of its Colorado State Dischazge Permit for the first quarter of 2003. <br />1 <br />szs <br />
