f W ~
EXHIBIT B
MINING PLAN
The Willow Creek Mine is an open pit excavation on a
hillside of about 1096 grade. Approximately 5000 cubic yards
of material has been extracted by the previous owner over a
nineteen year period. The material is sand, gravel, and rock
and is loaded into a 6-yard dump truck by a 2-yard trac type
loader. It is then hauled .9 mile to the processing plant
and dumped. Next it is fed into a 4~x14~ trommel screen with
a .4 cubic yard drag line. Water is pumped into the rotating
tromeel by a 4" gasoline powered water pump, The fine material
carrying gold is screened off and is carried into a 40~ sleuce
box. The tailings that settle out past the end of the sleuce
are pushed into a pile with a bulldozer. Water is piunped from
and returned to a pond 325' long, 75~ wide, and 18~ deep. There
is no discharge from the pond and ground water keeps it at
about the same depth year around. The mine will be operated
from about May 1st to October 15th and will extract less than
4000 cubic yards annually. This is strictly a one-man operation.
The pit is located on the Willow Creek N2 and ~2 Mining Claims
and will be extended to the north and west at less than 100
feet per year. (See Map)
The processing plant site was first used in the 1930~s
by placer miners who saved their gravel, washed it, and sold
it to the Climax Mine. It has been used intermittently ever
since. This plant is on a special use permit area and will
not ba enlarged. It consists of a pond, tailings pile (5000
plus or minus cubic yards), and an equipment storage area.
