In
November, 1994 you requested that i evaluate the "as-built"
conditions related to runoff around the portal.
On November 16th, I conducted a site visit to the reclaimed
portal #1 site. I completed the following:
1. Evaluated the final reclamation grading in the
vicinity of the reclaimed portal. Also, I
observed the reclamation of the access road to the
portal.
2. Verified cross sections A-A' and B-B' (copy
attached in the Appendix) that are across the
primary reclaimed flow path in the vicinity of the
portal.
3. Measured the "natural", undisturbed cross section
of the runoff channel just ABOVE the reclaimed
portal area; Figure 1 is this cross section and is
located about 50 feet uphill from cross section B-
B'.
4.
