Barker, D:ietrict Conservatiomiet <br />Re: Reclamation plan for Gravel,om Delmar Beattie land. <br />This pit is located t;en and one-quarter miles North of Stratton on the East <br />side of the road. It is located in land resource area G-67, The Central - <br />High Plains. The soil is a Stoneham Gravelly Sandy Loam on a 3-596 elope. <br />Due to the naturally erosive nature of this soil, reclamation should take <br />place ae portions of the pit are put out of production. Backeloping, <br />manuring and seeding should be done progressively. Backslopes of the mimed <br />area should be sloped to a four to one slope. The overburden soil should <br />be replaced at least to a depth of six inches. Clod manure should be applied <br />for fertilization and stabilization of the soils, at 70 tone per acre. <br />For a seeding reccomendation refer to CO-Cone-6 form(supporting data for <br />grass aeeding~. The aced should be planted at a depth of one quater to <br />to three Quarters of :end inch. Early spring or late fall is the best <br />planting times.
