Subsidance Surve.v. Subsidance Monitorin~•. and Subsidance
Control Plan
• A. There are no structures located within the proposed
mining area.
B, Those lands vrhich could possibly be considered renevaable
resources vrithin the mining area are pasture lands and
the ephemeral stream bed of South Oak Creek, f4ost of
the area is pinon and juniper woodland erith extremely
limited understory vegetation, producing less than
100 pounds of air-dry vegetation per acre, Open
meadows provide limited pasture lands for wildlife
or livestock. Reconnaissance of the area overlying
adjacent mined-out areas does not indicate that any
adverse effect has resulted to the land from mining.
The potential use of the area is non-commercial woodland,
livestock grazing, and wildlife habitat. Land use of
the area overlying the mine will not be changed.
Considering the extent of previous underground mining
in the immediate area and the lack of evidence of any
adverse effect to the land, it is concluded that no
material damage or diminution of reasonably foreseeable
use could result in the event of mine subsidance, There
is also the question if the land is or is•not a renevrable
resource. Accordingly, a subsidance monitoring program
• is not anticipated at this time.
96
