RECEIVING STREAM: <br />A. Identification. classification, and Numeric Standards <br />1. Identification: The discharge flows to an +innamed tribucar~ <br />of Carbon Creek. Carbon Creeic is a <br />tributary of Ohio Creek, stream segment 17 <br />of the Upper Gunnison River Basin. Segment <br />17 includes the aai-stem of the Ohio Craek, <br />including ail tributaries, lakes and <br />reservoirs, from the sources to the <br />confluence with the Gunnison River with the <br />excepcior. of Segment 2. <br />2. Numeric Standards: The standards which have been assigned in <br />accordance with the above classifications <br />can be found in 3.S.O Classification and <br />Numeric Standards for the Gunnison and <br />Lower Dolores giver Sasins. Ic should be <br />noted that this facility does not discharee <br />pollutants which are limited by avatar <br />quality standards wick the exception cf pH. <br />B. Receiving Water Data <br />1. Stream Low Flow: Not Applicable; effluent limitations are not <br />flow based. <br />I'l. FACILITY INFOR`fATION: <br />The facility is an inactive underground coal chat has been previousl;~ <br />known as the Ohio Creek ,~2 Mine. The operation i~ in temporary cessat'_on. <br />3efore it can be restartad, imnrove~ents ara reouired. The owner <br />anticipates that he will attempt .o sei_ the operation inscaad of raking <br />the improvements himself. <br />One sedimentation pond controls runoff from the 0.; acres of disturbed <br />area. The pond is designed to contain the 10-year, 24-hour precipitation <br />event. The pond's outfall, Oucfall No. 001. discharges co an unnamed <br />tributary of Carbon Creek. <br />
