The riprap will be basalt rock from a permitted quarry of the applicant. Since the basalt rock is hard heavy and inert, it will make a long life riprap. The earthen fill will be moved by scrapers and shaped by dozers. The basalt riprap will be hauled from the quarry by truck and placed by front end loader and/or dozer.
