Remarks or additional information. The earthen fill will be overburden (no topsoil) from the <br />gravel operation. The riprap will be basalt rock from a permitted quarry of the <br />applicant. Since the basalt rock is hard heavy and inert, it will make a long life <br />riprap. The earthen fill will be moved by scrapers and shaped by dozers. The basalt <br />riprap will be hauled from the quarry by truck and placed by front end loader and/or <br />dozer. Operations can only be conducted in fall, winter and spring before and after <br />high water. <br />15.
