Pond 008
has had a small amount of water in the bottom that W FC placed there to see if it would hold
water. Other than that, no activity has occurred that would have changed the sediment storage
capacity from the final design volumetric survey. My conclusion is that the sediment storage
volume of Pond 008 and 009 have not changed significantly and so I elected not to survey for
volumetric.
Pond 007 was surveyed for volume on March 10'" , 1999. At that time, it had approximately 10.4
AC-FT of excess storage capacity. I have visited Pond 007 several times a week as I performed
my job duties and have only occasionally seen sediment laden water entering it from the pit
pumping system. The small delta at the entrance of the pit discharge point has not grown
significantly so I believe the storage volume of Pond 007 is still very adequate for any storm event.
Sincere)
oss L.
