• Design Calculations
The Magpie Creek drainage basin was divided into two (2)
subwatersheds for design purposes (Subwatershed No. 1 and
Subwatershed No. 2). Subwatershed No. 1 is the larger drainage
basin which empties into the diversion at its upper end.
Subwatershed No. 2 contains the tributary which empties into the
diversion at Station M as shown on the Magpie Creek Diversion As-
Built Drawing, (Map 25). Peak discharge values were calculated
for both subwatersheds using the SEDCAD+ computer model. The
methodology used and assumptions made are outlined in the
Methodology and Assumptions section of this exhibit. The upper
reach of the diversion is designed to pass the peak flow from
Subwatershed No. 1 and the lower reach is designed to pass the
peak discharge from both subwatersheds. The 100 year storm was
modeled using the most current version of SEDCAD (SEDCAD 4).
Subwatershed No. 1
Hvdroloav InDlltS
Watershed Area: 885.2 acres
Time of Concentration (Tc)
Tc = 0.85 (refer to the SEDCAD Printouts on Table 19)
I~
U
TR-32 l41 Revised 8/OL
