i l
l
i
i Th
606
f
Exh
bit 7-16B indicates that the permanent poo
evat
on
s
e 6,
.2
eet.
e
top of the embankment/safety berm varies between 6,610 feet (northwest margin)
to 6,606 feet (southeast margin). The pond discharges to the Shop Diversion
Ditch, which conveys flow to Pond 003. Because the pond is not a primary
sedimentation structure, there are no settleable solids effluent limits.
•
The water elevation in the Wash Pond is also variable and is based on equipment
wash schedules. Because the pond was not designed or constructed as a
sedimentation structure, it does not need to meet the Rules 4.05.6,
4.05,9(2)(a)(i) or 4.05.9(2)(c)(ii). Dirty water flows to the pond from the
wash bay via a conczete lined channel. The spillway device is a 18-inch CMP
pipe with a 18-inch T-shaped cap. The "T" is on its side, the barrel is the
spillway pipe. The "T" is the dewatering device, and discharging water flows
through the bottom of the "T" (see Exhibit 7-16B). Water does not flow from
the Wash Pond when the water level falls below 6,603.9 feet. Treated water
discharges to the Shop Diversion Ditch and ultimately flows to Pond 003.
Because the pond is an interim structure, there are no settleable solids
effluent limits.
Certification Statement
The two ponds at the Truck Wash Facility are pre-existing. The design drawing
(Exhibit 7-16A) was prepared under the supervision of a registered professional
engineer in the State of Colorado experienced in the design and construction of
earthen structures.
I am a registered professional engineer in the State of Colorado experienced in
the design, construction and operation of earthen structures. I have reviewed
the as-built drawing (Exhibit 7-16B), inspected the site and it is in my
opinion accurately represents the existing conditions of the Truck Wash Ponds.
~p nEG/ST
~oQ,P~ j ~ stiFGF9~,
v.~P lGL~';O
O:m
"° 37382 ~:
;~~'
~~~ssioivaL`~`~\
TR-37
2
Revised 09/05
